Strong campaign results with launch of a new land register for Scotland

We’ve been very busy helping with Registers of Scotland with a campaign to tell people across the country about an important new land register. The Register of Persons Holding with a Controlled Interest in Land in Scotland (RCI) makes it mandatory to register if you have control over any land or property. This is a big deal, not least because failure to register can mean a hefty fine. It’s no secret that knowing who controls the land in Scotland has been a mystery for many years now. The RCI will make things a lot more transparent than before.

We’re still running the campaign but early results are really promising. Our call to action-based campaign has targeted very specific stakeholder groups, including farmers and crofters, trusts, veterinary practices and even scout and guides groups. We’ve managed to get over 18,000 new web visits That’s a 11.7% uplift and means that 9.3% of all registrations are attributed to just our short burst of activity.
